Talk about a walk down memory lane...
Tonight I dug out my collection of old Pleasant Company catalogs. My mother for some reason saved every catalog we ever received from them and at one point we had like ten shopping bags full. While cleaning out the basement, she threw out most of them, but a few years ago I did find two bags full, luckily some of the really early ones. I plan on listing some of the duplicates on ebay soon for some extra funds for the holidays, but if there is some interest I am happy to put the list out here first.
Anyway...looking through one of the old catalogs I found a letter that one of the Customer Service representatives wrote to me from December 1991. I thought it was just such a great representation of what Pleasant Company used to be that I scanned it for everyone to read. If the print is too small, just let me know and I will type it out here.

The best part, IMO, is that they told me about Addy 1 1/2 years before her release! They would *never* do that now [img]graemlins/shhh.gif[/img]

WOW. That is so amazing--now I wish I'd written to PC in the early years! (Although my "early years" were starting in 1995. [img]wink.gif[/img] ) I can't believe you suggested the calendar!!! I bought that every year!! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] And that IS amazing that they told you about Addy. That letter is truly a testament to how wonderful Pleasant Company used to be....*sigh* oh, the old days...before Mattel came and monopolized AG! [img]frown.gif[/img]

Great customer service letter, it looks like it must have responded to all of your points in your original letter. Your letter must have been pretty impressive to them to elicit such a response!
